Making a PVC chair is really a great idea because furniture items made of pvc are always easy to handle, require minimal maintenance and last longer.
Making a PVC chair for indoors or outdoors can be real fun. Following are useful instructions that will guide you to make a PVC pipeline chair:
Instructions
- Let’s start with the base of the chair. For this you require to sew 2 pieces of canvas leaving nearly 1 ½ inch opening at the top as well as the bottom of the hem of each piece. This will be used to create the back and seat of the chair.
- Now insert one of the pvc pipes of 21 1/2-inches into the top opening of one of the canvas piece. Do it for the second piece also.
- Insert one of the 21 1/4-inch long pipes into both the openings of an elbow connector. Repeat the process with the other pipes too in order to create two U-shaped working segments of pipe.
- Slide one T connector into the end of each 12 inch pipe.
- Now take 18 inches long pipe and pass it through the bottom of the canvas that is attached to the working section. Do the same with other section. This will create the base for your chair.
- Insert 18 inch long pvc pipe into the T-connectors in order to club the two working sections together to form the cross bars of the chair.

- Now start making the arms of the chair. For this, first slide a 6inch pipe into the openings of 4 T connectors. Then, use an elbow connector at the two sections of the pipe that create the front of the chair. Similarly, use the end of the two sections of the pipe that form the back of the chair to insert a T-connector.
- Finally, attach a 21 1/2-inch pipe to each end to form the arm rest on the two sides of the chair.
- Proceed to make the chair back. For this, slide a 7-inch section of pipe into T connectors that are at the rear of the seat. Fix elbow connectors at the end of each of the 7 inch sections of the pipe.
- To form the top of the chair, place the 18 inch section of pipe to the elbow connectors.
- Make adjustments if required to ensure the chair is at level. It is always better to use a flat and level surface to construct a pvc furniture.
- If you want to add color to your pvc chair, then paint the different parts before you start the building process.
