You shall have to begin by first using the jigsaw to cut out the piece of plywood (4 by 8 ) into the shape of an oval. This shape will serve the purpose of your table top. Take this oval shape and place it on the second piece of plywood. Use a pencil to trace the shape out properly and then start cutting out the second piece of plywood in the same size and shape as the table top. However you will also need to measure about 5 inches in on your second piece and then cut out the oval shape towards the center. This piece has to be left aside for later and the outer piece will act as the railing for your poker table.
Use the first piece of plywood which is the table top and then mark 1inch all around its circumference. All along this mark, you have to make small holes by using the jigsaw. The jigsaw blades shall be inserted inside the small holes. Start cutting all around the circumference, by making sure that it is in a single piece. This piece will serve as the lower rail. Now the upper and the lower rail pieces have to be attached together by using wood screws. You can take the help of sander for smoothening the edges and the wood.
Take the table top piece and then place it upside down on your work surface and then glue in the inner oval that you previously made onto its back. You can use drill and some wood screws for attaching the pieces securely. This is done for making your poker table secure and in place. You can then attach the foldable legs to the table’s back side and after doing so, turn the table’s right side up. Make sure that you clean the table of any sawdust and then spray the 3M 45 adhesive onto its surface. Use foam to make it stick on the table and then use velveteen to be covered on the complete table surface. You can staple this to the sides of the table by tightly pulling it. However you have to ensure that the excess is trimmed off.
You also have to cut off foam (a top piece and two side pieces) for the railing. Here also you have to use the 3M adhesive spray for attaching the foam onto the railing. Now take the railing and face it upside down so that it on the backside of the vinyl and then staple it in place by pulling it tight. You can cut out the excess vinyl and then staple it in place. Lastly the rail has to be set in place on the top of the table and bolted from the underside.
