  • Type of Flyer – It is important to choose the size of the flyer first. Depending on the area you will be distributing the flyers in, you can think of the right size. If you want to deliver the flyers right in the hands of the people in the streets then you need to choose the small A7 size so that the recipient can fold and put in his wallet or purse. However, if you have a lot to write and display, you can also choose the A3 poster size.   • Design of Flyer – The design of the flyer is very important to catch the reader’s eye. The content should be precise and not clumsy to read. There should be some good photos or graphics to look presentable. And finally, you have to ask him to “buy now”.   • Distribution of Flyer – There are mainly 2 methods of distribution: door-to-door and hand-to-hand. In the door-to-door method, you can further choose the solus, shared or newspaper avenues. In the solus distribution, your flyer will be the only one given out in the day and it will be given at the doorstep of the potential customer. But in the shared distribution, many leaflets will be given together. In the newspaper method, the flyer will be slipped into the pages of the newspaper. The solus is the most effective but the costliest too. The flyers can also be distributed hand-to-hand on the streets. But you should be careful that you don’t litter the streets as you can be penalized for this. The flyers can also be left in public places for people to pick up or placed on car windscreens.
  • Tracking of Flyer – The distributors can have GPS units on their bodies and also carry webcams with them to record every delivery of flyer. You can sit at home and find out exactly how many streets the distributor has covered and how many homes he has given the flyers in. This will help you to know that the flyers are actually delivered and not thrown in trash bins. If you place an offer in the flyer asking the recipient to show the flyer at the store to avail the offer, you can even know the response to the flyers.
