Home-made Lemonade Recipe
A chilled glass of lemonade is bliss in hot sweaty days. It is one of the simplest pleasures that anyone can go for. A real treat on hot days, lemonade is a refreshing drink that is high in flavor and low in calories. So, you can have any number of glasses as you feel like.
If you want to make a perfect glass of lemonade then follow the instructions given below:
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water for simple syrup
- 1 cup lemon juice, from 4-6 lemons
- 4 cups of water
- Additional sliced lemon for garnish
Make the Lemonade
- Prepare simple sugar syrup by heating sugar and water in a small pan. Continue to heat, till the sugar is dissolved completely.
- While the sugar dissolves, extract lemon juice from 4 to 6 lemons with the help of a juicer.
- Now mix the lemon juice and the simple syrup in a pitcher.
- Add 4 cups of cold water.
- Refrigerate the mix for 30 minutes, until well-chilled.

- Add lemon juice or sugar if necessary.
- Fill glasses with ice and pour lemonade into the glasses.
- Garnish the drink with sliced lemons and enjoy sipping it.
Quick Microwave Version
- Combine 2 tbsp. sugar and 2 tbsp. water in a microwave-safe glass.
- Now place it in the microwave on high for 1 minute
- Stir to dissolve completely
- Allow it to cool
- Add fresh lemon juice, cold water and ice to it.
Make Mint Lemonade
If you want to make a mint flavored lemonade, then all you need to do is to add 1/2 cup of mint leaves to the lemonade prepared as per the above mentioned guidelines.
- Roll the mint leaves in your hands so that the essential oils are released into the lemonade quickly.
- Now refrigerate the mint lemonade for 30 minutes to allow the mint flavor to infuse.
- Strain and remove the mint leaves and serve over ice, with a sprig of fresh mint.
