Here we shall be discussing about the making of a light saber in short and small steps. You just have to keep the following guidelines in mind while making your own light saber.

  • We have to first focus on building the light saber. You have to cut the piece of chrome by using your saw. Make sure that it is cut between 12” and 14” long.
  • Measure around ¼” from one end of the chrome and starting from there wrap the insulation around it. You should continue wrapping the insulation until and unless you have reached the desired grip and length.
  • Now you will have to cut a PVC cap in half and then place at that particular space which you have left after wrapping the insulation around the Chrome. You shall have to repeat the step with the other half of the PVC cap and at the top of the chrome tube. Make sure to fasten the PVC caps in place by using screws.

  • Take the nickel plated caps and use your electric drill to make two holes in them.

  • Take the paint can and dip the end cap in it while letting all the excess paint to drip off. You shall have to keep repeating the step until all the parts of PVC are painted and dried off. Apply a second coat after the first coat dries off. However you need to wait for 24 hrs before attaching the PVC pieces to the pipe.
  • Attach the nickel plated caps to the chrome with glue. However you need to take care that one cap is placed close to the front and the other cap can be attached wherever you wish.
  • Epoxy the LED power into place by roughing up its bottom with the dremel tool. Now remove plastic base and metal pins from electron tube. Put a thin layer of glue over the bulb and then install it at the front of your light saber so that it lines up with the LED power bar.
  • This LED power will help in lighting up your light saber too!
