1. First of all, decide how high the hut is going to be. Get four bamboo poles and cut them down to the height you want the hut to be. All the bamboo poles should be of the same height. Now think of the width of the hut. Cut another three bamboo poles to that height. Now you have to decide the depth of the hut. Here you require 2 poles of the same depth to be cut.
2. Now bring together two poles for the length and two for the depth. Make a rough rectangle of these poles. Use a screwdriver to secure the ends together with screws. Use enough screws so that the ends, the outer edge and the inner edge are all sturdy. You can pull to test the strength of the structure. Make sure that there are no bends in the frame and it stands straight.
3. Besides the poles you have already cut, you need four more of equal length. Make the ends completely blunt. Now you need to stick another pole into one corner of the frame so that the pole is held at an angle. Use screws to secure again. Use the other three poles on the other three corners of the frame and secure with screws too. There must still be another length pole which should support the frame at its very center. All the angled poles will meet at this point. Screw in the central pole with all the rest that meet here. The frame is now ready with slanted sides.
4. Make a cut on the inner edges of both the lower frame and the top length pole. If you have the custom made thatched palm panel ready, then slide them into the cut edges. Bring the silk leaves too. Tie each of these leaves and tie them to the top of the cover. When you tie all the leaves to the central pole, they will all hang down evenly on all sides. The whole cover should be covered with leaves in this way.
5. You will need people to help you lift up the cover with the help of a height poles supporting one corner of the covering. The height pole can now be screwed in to the almost finished tiki hut. You must have three more height poles and you can repeat the above procedure to get the right structure.

Your tiki hut is now ready and you can take shelter in it during the hot summers. And when the sun goes down, you can plan a barbecue with your friends in this cool place.

• You would note that two of the three arms of the triangle are smaller than one. Keep the longer arm towards you while noting that the top point is in the opposite direction.
• You need to make another fold by bringing in one of the arms and folding it in such a manner that when its point touches the opposite arm, it leaves a perfect triangle on the bottom. You can do this by making the point touch more towards the top point than the bottom point.
• Now you have an even sized triangle before you with a point folded on top.
• Take one of the flips from the top point and fold it backward on to the fold you created initially.
• Now take the point of the even sized triangle and insert it into the first fold.
• You can leave a few centimeters to create the base of your cup
• Now turn it aside and fold back the top point you had left earlier.
• Once you do it you would note a gap between the two top point folds.
• Use your fingers to make the cavity proper and neat.

You can now use some glue or stickers to decorate your cup. If you want you can even write your name and personalize a cup for yourself. Kids love to spend their time making origami items.
