class="alignright" style="border: 0pt none; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;" title="How to Write a Bio" src="http://tipdeck.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/How-to-Write-a-Bio.jpg" border="0" alt="How to Write a Bio" hspace="5" width="250" height="257" />A bio or a biography is a detail description of one’s life but more interestingly, by some one else. It is often written on an entertaining and appealing way about a fascinating or renowned dignitary. But now-a-days, any close friend or a mate can care to write a biography of their beloved or dear ones. A biography at times personifies the person among the people who even have heard or discussed about that person. It serves as the mirror of the person based on the pages of his life sketch. All his notable activities and characteristics are being expressed in a biography with a relatively high morale so that the reader gets the interest to turn till the last page.

There are number of biographies which are found to be written by someone or the other on a daily basis. But all of them do not get the same amount of appreciation and reputation. So below mentioned are a few guidelines that can make effective impact while writing a bio or a biography: -

Collect all the necessary information about the person whom you have chosen as a subject for the biography. The more the records you accumulate the more you will be able to describe the person in your biography on a broader perspective.

Make an outline as to how you will put the entire format staging from his childhood till the days get gained maturity and all. Do not jumble the different phases of his life in the biography. It is very important to observe that you precede writing and narrating the person on pyramidal attire. Means staring with the minute details and then ending with the elaborate description of a particular facet of his life.

Be very careful about the dates and time of occurrences while writing the biography of your selected personality. Make sure you do not mismatch the situation and occasion of one incident with the date of another. Otherwise, the whole life of the person might take a twist leading to even discrepancies in the mind of the readers.

Never exaggerate any point or a particular incident of the individual on which the biography is encoded. Do not add you own expressions and emotions in that occurrence for that person. This is because different readers perceive the same concept on a different approach. So you thought flow and honest expression might not suit to the reader’s temptations and expectation. In a way it might even create an opposite reaction rather than a compliment out of some noble appreciation. Such an error in describing the person might bring defamation under his name.

Finally, make the biography appealing with pictures and images that were taken at the time of occurrence in his life. This is necessary because sometimes expressions can be better felt and understood through an image rather than a few scribbled frames of statements. Add the names of those people in your acknowledgement section from whom you could successfully gather the information of that individual. As because they were the prime sources to make you write the biography on a real interesting mode before you present it as a book in front of a reader.

Watch a video instruction on how to write a bio

Creating your document with your favorite font type is interesting. But typing letters on your computer with your own handwriting is more than exciting. If you are looking for information on how to make your own fonts based on your handwriting this article will help you to convert your handwriting to your personal font. It can also help you keep a record of your kid’s handwriting.

To make your own font on your PC, you need a scanner, a printer, and a thin felt tip pen.

Start with downloading an image template that you can use to write the alphabets and numbers in your handwriting. Take the full size of the template. If possible, take 4-5 copies of the template so that you can have an additional template if anything goes wrong. Get a perfect set of letters and numbers for your font.

Use the thin felt tip pen to write the letters of numbers and alphabets into the boxes on the template. You will find designated boxes to enter the letters on the template. However, you must read the instructions of the template before writing the letters. Be careful to leave margin around each character. Don’t drag the lines up to the edge of the cells; rather align your letters on the base line. It is the most difficult part of the whole process as you have to be attentive while drawing each characters and aligning them properly. However, don’t stress yourself to get them perfect. Just try to be as natural as you can so that you can have a set of characters that are perfectly your handwriting.

Actually, if your characters are not aligned, they will appear irregular after you scan them. In case, your letters goes beyond the base line or you need to overwrite any of the characters, you can better opt for another copy of the template. You can also fix the minor problems in your characters.

Scan the template at 72, 75 or 100 dpi and save the images as JPEG, GIF, TIFF or PNG file. Ensure that the template is kept straight while scanning. Then see the preview of the scanned text.

If you find any problem in the characters such as stray pixels or ink blots, you can fix them using a good image editor. Adjust the position of the letters and erase the blots or tails if any.

At last, set the horizontal spacing of the characters. The space that you have adjusted while writing the characters on the template will be reflected while you use your font type. That is why it is important to draw the letters in the middle of the enclosing box. Use your image editor to adjust the space on the left or right side of the letters.

Re-save the template image after editing and upload it to your computer. Check the preview once again to ensure that the letters are correctly drawn.

Now, it’s time to install your font. Purchase and install True Type Font on your computer.

Click on Start menu and select Run. Type in c:\Windows\fonts, and click OK. Click on Install New Font from the File menu. In the Drive box, select the drive where you have saved the fonts that you want to add and also select the font. Select the check box Copy Fonts to Fonts Folder. And, finally click on OK.

Now click on your font type to type in your handwriting to your document.

Watch a video instruction on make your own fonts

Let’s know the method of developing outline of a technical white paper.

<ol

The more appealing content you write for the abstract, the more number of readers you can attract to read the whitepaper.

Develop two to three paragraphs touching the problems that people face with a little background.

Give a description about the product’s design and how it works in general. Focus on the functionalities of the problem so that the readers will get an idea about the application of the product to the problem.

The next section is meant to provide information stating how the product is the best solution for them. class="alignright" style="border: 0pt none; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;" title="How to Write a Cover Page" src="http://tipdeck.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/How-to-Write-a-Cover-Page1.jpg" border="0" alt="How to Write a Cover Page" hspace="5" width="250" height="166" />The American psychological association (APA) style of writing is usually recommended by many college-level instructors while writing research papers. One can find the use of the APA style of writing in many fields like nursing and social sciences. It is used for citing and formatting information in a paper. One needs to follow many rules and requirements while writing a cover page in the APA style. This kind of styling requires one to include certain pieces of information in the cover page. Have a look at the points mentioned below that can help you out in writing a cover page in the APA style:

You have to begin by writing the title of the paper towards the middle of the cover page. Make sure that the title is centered in the page. You have to then format the title in title case which is capitalizing only the first letter of each of the main word in the title. Be careful about not italicizing, writing in bold or putting the title in quotation marks.

You shall have to include some information about the paper’s author and the course pertaining to which the author is writing the paper. Put this information in the center and as close to the bottom of the cover page as possible. You have to include information about the author and the course like name of the paper’s author, name of the course, name of the instructor and the due date of the paper. Place each item on a separate line.

You will now have to write down a shortened version of the title in the upper right hand corner of the cover page. The shortened version of the title should consist of only three to five words. Basically the shortened version should summarize the title and the gist of the paper. You will have to align the shortened version of the title at the right margin.

To the right of the shortened title, place a page number. This should also be placed in the upper right hand corner and should be aligned at the right margin. Be sure to use lower case roman numerals for writing the page number of the title page.

After knowing about the APA style of writing the cover page we can move towards knowing the way in which we can write a cover page in the MLA style. The modern language association (MLA) style was developed for the purpose of promoting the study of language and literature. This style of writing is very much favored among academic writers in the humanities department. Many colleges focus on making their students write in MLA style while preparing a paper. Have a look at the steps mentioned below that helps in making you understand the method of writing a paper in MLA style:

You have to begin by moving down to one third of the page and then type the title of the paper by centering it.

Now you have to leave a double space and then type in your name. Make this also centered in the page.

Now you have to type the class title and section. Both of them should be centered. You have to position the class title and section three times up from the bottom.

The professor’s name also has to be typed in under the name of the class. Keep it centered in the page.

After this you have to place the due date of the paper under the name of the professor and also make it centered in the page.

Watch a video instruction on how to write a cover page
<p

A literature review is like an overview of literature that is found as relevant to the area of research or study. A literature review is more or less like a report. In short it provides the overview of current literature which is available on a given subject. This article will deal with the methods that need to be incorporated while writing a literature review. Have a look at the step by step guide below that can help you further in the task:

You have to begin by finding materials which you think are relevant to the subject that is presented. You can choose literary materials which help in understanding and validating the topic that is in question. You will also have to make sure that the authors have the required level of expertise and credentials. You will have to ensure that the argument posed by the authors is convincing enough.

You shall have to include an overview of the subject that is being presented. Apart from the overview you will also need to include the objective of the literature review in the introduction. It is sort of a thesis statement that makes the writer’s objective clear.

You then have to divide the works into certain categories which support the position of the topic. You will also need to provide the categories of those which are in against and which offer alternative stances.

Then you have to include an explanation on the way in which each work varies and also about the way in which each work is similar to the other. There are many authors who agree on a certain point but differ on some points. You have to make sure that you include all those points which are valid irrespective of the fact whether they are contradictory or not.

You have to conclude with inclusions of those arguments that were most convincing and relevant to the proposed subject. You can also provide an insight as to how the topic is related to a broader subject in the conclusion.

The last step is editing and revising any writing, spellings, grammar and punctuation in general. Just ensure that the thoughts follow a logical flow and pattern in your literature review.

After having known the method of writing a literature review in general we can proceed to know the way in which we can write a literature review for a scientific paper. The guide given below cab help you in this purpose:

A literature review in a scientific paper helps one in understanding and identifying the gaps in research done on a particular topic and the structured experiments that can bridge those gaps.

Next is choosing all the sources that you think are appropriate for your literature review. They can be peer reviewed journals, patient charts, autobiographies, information that is collected through interviews and surveys etc. You can either collect primary/firsthand accounts or else you can rely on secondary sorces.

Next you have to summarize and record the articles that you are reviewing for your own records. Make sure that you include all the citation information so that it helps you when you decide to include the source in your literature review.

Sort out all those articles that you consider as the most important to be included in your literature review. Now you have to critically review those sources by asking yourself certain questions that are as follows:

Are the goals of the researcher’s well defined?
Is the abstract clear and concise?
What theories guide the study?
Is the hypothesis rational?
How is the study set up?
Is the data reported in such a way that supports or rejects the hypothesis?
Is the reported data clear and accurate?
Is the author competent and qualified enough to conduct the research?
Is the author’s writing concise and clear?

Watch a video instruction on how to write a literature review
<p

The verses will emanate from your pen without your realization and before you know it, a whole song will be written eulogizing your beloved. But this process of writing a love song can also be structured so that the words rhyme and make sense. Besides being in love, songs can also be written when you are hurt or are ditched by your lover. But that is another story altogether. Let us find out how to write a love song and celebrate the wonders of falling in love.

First, it is helpful if you just write all your feelings for your partner. It is alright if the lines don’t rhyme at this time. Writing in free verse will help you express better and be more creative. But if you can manage to make the lines rhyme and make sense then it will make the song all the more interesting.

After you have completed writing the love song, you can read it again and again till you are satisfied that it is the best you can do. You can try injecting some more passion into the song and make changes for the better.

Then you need to find a tune for your song. Try not to put the song in the same old mould of songs you have heard before. Make a fresh tune if you can. There are many tunes left in this world for you to find and implement.

Now that the tune is ready, sing the song several times and try to fine-tune it. Remember the tune so that you don’t sing a different tune every time you sing the song. Thus the tune should a simple one and not very difficult to remember. Make it as catchy as you can.

It is not always necessary to give a title to the love song. But if you want to make it very inspiring, then find a title which describes the feeling of the song. You can also name it after your beloved. But the title should be in tune with the lyrics of the song.

Depending on your intentions, you can promote this love song. You can make a video of your singing the song and post it on the Internet. But you can also sing it loud to your sweetheart or send it to her in writing.

While writing the love song, don’t use clichéd words like “baby” and “love” too many times. After your partner gets to hear the love song, she might be tempted to write one for you too. She is sure to be happy with the fact that you love her so much as to write a love song for her. This will surely strengthen your love and even make you write better songs for her in the future.

Watch a video instruction on how to write a love song
<p

In spite of that it is essential to put time and effort into writing them. Obituaries are short articles which mention the details about the deceased’s events and relationships. We generally come across obituaries in newspapers a week after the death of a person. It helps in letting the people of an area know about the person’s death and also serves as a testament to what the person achieved in his lifetime. style="text-align: justify;">•	You have to begin by checking in with your local newspapers by observing the obituaries that are published in them. Analyze whether all the obituaries follow a set pattern or theme. If you notice that all obituaries are written in a similar format then you have to emulate the same while writing the obituary of your loved one. You also have to contact the local newspapers in your area to know about their deadlines so that you can follow them. If you find that some newspapers are in a rush to get the obituaries printed then it they are more prone to make mistakes while doing so. You also have to find out the newspaper’s mode of submission. Generally newspapers do not prefer hand written obituaries because handwriting can cause confusion regarding interpretation of certain names.

• The next step is setting up a budget. Certain newspapers have a standard rate for printing obituaries whereas others vary their rates according to the length of the obituary. There are also some newspapers which can print the obituaries for free as long as you follow their format. There general way in which a newspaper can charge for printing an obituary is charging by the column inch. You have to find out the width of your newspaper column and the dollar amount per column inch. This will help you in getting an idea about the cost of printing an obituary in a newspaper.

•	Now you have to decide on what information you want to include in the obituary that you are writing. You can have a look at the list below that can help you out in this regard:

Full name of the deceased, age and residence
Deceased’s birth date, birth place and name of parents
The place and time when the deceased died<br

An ode is nothing but a poem which is written in praise of something. One can write an ode about a person, a place, an object which is usually identified through its title. The pattern of an ode is that it describes a scene, then focuses on a problem or a particular situation and then arrives at a conclusion which is made by returning to the original scene or statement. It is very well said that originally odes were serious poetic forms but modern odes are written in praise of the ordinary. This article will deal with the steps that are involved in writing an ode in general. Have a look at the guide mentioned below and make your task easier and simpler:

You have to begin by selecting a topic for your ode. You can write an ode about a city, a person, a flower or even a pen. After having decided on the topic of the ode, set to analyze all those attributes that you shall be praising in your ode. For doing this, you have to make a list of all the attributes that you can think of about the ode’s topic.

After this, you shall have to consider the way in which your ode can be used as a metaphor for illustrating a particular situation or problem. You then have to decide on the scene in which your poem will open and then set up the poem in such a manner that the readers get a hint about the conclusion that you are going to assert in your ode.

The next step is planning a structure of the ode that you are about to write. You then have to decide on the number of lines that each of the stanzas is going to contain. After deciding on the number of lines in each stanza you have to think about the number of stanzas in your ode. Here you have to keep in mind that most of the odes contain several stanzas that have a typical rhyme scheme in them. You also have to decide on the rhyming scheme of your ode.

Now from the planning process which you had undertaken in step 1, you have to fit the ideas into certain phrases and stanzas in your ode. You can also take the help of thesaurus from which you can obtain the synonyms of certain words for whom you are not able to find a rhyme. Thesaurus can help you with the structure and the rhyme scheme of your ode to a great extent. However you have to be patient while writing an ode. It is impractical to think that one can finish the writing of an ode in a single sitting. Take time to make multiple revisions and edits and only then can you be able to write a good poem.

After having completed the draft writing of your ode, you have to read it aloud to observe whether the flow of your poem is seamless and that it makes sense. Incase you are not too satisfied with the placement of certain words and phrases then you can alter their positions or better still replace them with more apt phrases and words. For strengthening your ode, you can add alliteration and internal rhymes to it. This will really make your ode a good work of short poems. The best way to know whether you have written a good poem or not is to allow people to read it. Let your friends and families read your ode and critique it. This will only make your poem better. You can then eliminate any words which are making your poem sound clumsy. Be prepared to rewrite and rephrase your ode several times until you are sure that it is well crafted and powerful.

Watch a video instruction on how to write an ode
<p
