You can connect your Microsoft Xbox 360 to the Internet in one of two ways. You can either use an Ethernet cord, which is the most direct way and requires the use of an Ethernet cord, or you can connect the system to your home wireless network.

ETHERNET:

Using an Ethernet cord is the most basic way and requires little effort. All you need to do is plug one end directly into the back of the Xbox and place the other end into a home network router. If you’re doing this, ideally, you’ll want to have your router nearby. Otherwise you’ll have a really long Ethernet cable stretched across your house. This isn’t the best idea given that the likelihood exists that you’ll trip over it or have trouble getting it out of the way from foot traffic.

WIRELESS:

If you want to use your wifi then you’ll need a couple things: a wireless router and an Xbox wireless adapter. This is, of course, assuming that you already have an Xbox system and a wireless account. If you need one, you can get wireless network adapters relatively cheap from most major gaming and electronics stores. You can also shop online to buy one.

Once you have your adapter, plug it into the back of the Xbox and turn the system on. Once this is done, go to the setup screen. Then go to the Systems area and select Network Settings. Then select Edit Settings. A screen with several options will then pop up. From this screen you’ll want to then choose Wireless Mode.

At this point you’ll have to select the router you’re using. Every router has a name, which is also referred to as an SSID. IF you’re not sure which router to choose from, and there’s likely to be several options, you can look on the side of your router, which will have the name written on the side. Select that option and, once prompted, enter in your routers pass code or password. You will then be prompted in the Network Settings screen to choose from a list of options. Choose Test Xbox Live Connection. Your system will then test your wireless connection. If the test clears then that means your Xbox is now connected to the Internet and you can browse freely.

NOTE: If it has failed to do so then you’ll likely want to go online, using your computer, and do some troubleshooting to fix the issue.

Instructions

Dissembling the Console

Sanding the X360 box

  1. While sanding the case, you can start off with a 200 grit sand paper.
  2. Once majority of the painting is taken off with the lower grit sand paper, you can switch to a higher grit sand paper of 400 to 600.
  3. Continue sanding with this sand paper until you achieve a smooth and even surface.
  4. When done with sanding you can wash off all the pieces with water.

Priming and Painting process

  1. First apply a single coat of primer on the surface and leave it undisturbed for nearly an hour.
  2. Once it’s dry, use heavy grit sanding paper of nearly 1500+ for doing some wet sanding.
  3. Allow it to dry and repeat the steps.
  4. When completely dry, you can apply the first coat of paint followed by wet sanding method twice. Go for three coats of paint.
  5. After a day of drying, apply the clear acrylic. Repeat the above steps with three coats but make sure not to sand on the last coat. Be very careful while doing this step because any mistake may spoil your efforts and you will have to repeat the whole process.
  6. After allowing the case to dry for few days, you will have with you a new and stylish Xbox 360 console that you can show to everyone and gather appreciation for your creativity and innovation.
