After the merger the photo may look more attractive, creative and interesting to you. But before merging the two photos you have to check their compatibility with each other lest the two images come with different color, resolution and sizes. If the two photos are not compatible you may end up in producing an ugly looking photo without serving your purpose. It is very easy to merge two photo images using any photo editing software like Photoshop which supports channeling and layering of images.

Instructions

1. Select both your images and make a new document by dragging and dropping two the two images into it. But put those two photos on two separate layers. Put the layer on top which you want to display at the center or main portion of the photo. Create a new layer for background and initially fill it with white. Let’s call the two photo layers “A” and “B”, and the background layer as “C”.

2. Select the top layer (a) by clicking on its name in the layers palette. Click on the add layer mask icon in the layers palette and add a mark to layer A.

3. Now make your foreground color black and choose a large and soft brush from the brush tools. As you start painting the top image will disappear. It happens as whatever is painted black is made invisible on the layer mask and only the white portion remains visible. Now you can finish painting the areas of the photo which you want to remain hidden in your new photo.

4. Switch between the background and foreground colors by pressing the X key. Now select a smaller brush and paint back the areas with white which you want to keep back. Now your image will come back as you start painting with white.

5. Now duplicate the layer A by selecting the layer and then going to the Layer>Duplicate or by dragging the layer name to the new layers icon. Now drag the new layer to the top of the layers palette.

6. Now click on the add layer mask option and the selection will automatically fill the mask. You can select the layer mask by clicking on the mask thumbnail. Now invert the mask by pressing Ctrl/Cmd+I or image>invert. Now you can see the image again.

7. Now paint back some portion of the second layer (B) by lowering the capacity of the top layer. Select the layer and reduce its capacity to 60%.
8. Now select again the top layer (A) and paint the edges of the second image visible after activating the layer mask. You can select the brush according the size and coordination of the selected image. Now again increase the capacity of the new layer to 100%. Now you can see an interesting image containing both your images.

9. Now go to the Hue/Saturation and colorize the first image with warm colors with saturating the color less than 30%. Now pull the capacity on all layers back to 70-80%.

10. Now you can adjust the capacity of the layers according to your wish and get the desired new photo image.

Steps to Add a New Font to a System
To install a font, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
Type the following “command%windir%\fonts” and then click OK:
2. On the File menu, click Install New Font.
3. In the Drives box, click the drive that contains the font that you want to add.
The floppy disk drive is typically drive A or drive B. The CD drive is typically drive D.
4. In the Folders box, click the folder that contains the font that you want to add, and then click OK.
5. In the List of fonts box, click the font that you want to add. To select more than one font at a time, press and hold the CTRL key while you select each font.
6. Click to select the Copy Fonts To Fonts Folder check box. The new font is saved in the Windows\Fonts folder.

The knowledge of installing the fonts is not enough. In order to keep the system fast and stable we need to remove the fonts that are unnecessary and are never used.
Steps to Remove the Font
To remove a font from the hard disk, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Type the following “command%windir%\fonts “and then click OK:
3. Click the font that you want to remove. To select more than one font at a time, press and hold the CTRL key while you select each font.
4. On the File menu, click Delete.
5. When you receive the “Are you sure you want to delete these fonts?” prompt, click Yes.
Sometimes it is required to get back the pre-installed fonts that are present by default in the system in the most basic factory settings. Therefore to re-install the standard fonts that are included in the Windows package we need to do the following things. If any of the standard fonts that are included with Windows are missing, you can run Windows Setup again. Setup replaces missing or changed files. If the standard fonts are missing, other Windows files may also be missing. Setup also reinstalls these files. Finally the task of installing fonts to your PC is over. Refresh the system in order to get the changes.
